The Ruined World Was Mistaken for a Game summary:

“Let’s make this ruined world think it’s a game.” Kim Jin-woo, a game director, is one day summoned as the otherworlder “Arsilan.” After a life of fierce struggle, Arsilan has reached the realm of an archmage—but his world now stands on the brink of destruction because of entities called “Erosions.” Only Jin-woo, who came from Earth, is immune to Erosion. Yet even as an archmage, it’s impossible for a single person to face countless Erosions alone within a mere three years. “I just want to let go of everything and rest now.” At the very moment he gives up and empties his heart, Jin-woo transcends and becomes a Transcendent. With that, he gains an absolute authority: the “Gate of Souls.” Through the Gate of Souls he can now travel back and forth between Earth and Arsilan. He uses this power to summon Earthlings—who are also immune to Erosion—into Arsilan via the Gate, making them believe it’s all just a game and sending them to fight the Erosions. Thus begins the so‑called “Arsilan Saga Project,” in which a worn-out game director-turned-transcendent turns a dying world into a “game” scenario and mobilizes players from Earth to save it.
