Despite being raised in her stepfather's wealthy world after her mother's passing, Nao Sugawara has always felt like an outsider. The lack of blood relation to her stepfather constantly haunts her thoughts, leading to a paranoia that she may be sent away at any moment. To make matters worse, Nao harbors an intense hatred towards Kyouko, her stepfather's new wife. Consumed by a desire for revenge, Nao decides to stage her own kidnapping. After unsuccessful attempts to find refuge with friends, Nao sneaks back home to test if her absence was noticed. Seeing no reaction, she enlists the help of the clumsy maid, Kuniko Kusonoki, in her deceitful plan. Together, they construct an intricate web of lies with the sole purpose of exacting vengeance. Nao takes up residence in Kuniko's small quarters as they work tirelessly towards achieving their goals.
