Haikyu!! summary:
The sound of the whistle fills the gymnasium as the ball goes up in the air. A dig, a set, and finally a spike - the familiar sequence of moves in the game of volleyball. Two teams stand on opposite sides of the net, ready to battle it out. Despite his small stature of only 170 cm, Shouyou Hinata is inspired by the legendary "Little Giant" who overcame the towering wall of blockers. Determined to follow in his footsteps, Hinata forms a team in his final year of junior high and enters his first volleyball tournament. But his dreams are shattered when his team is crushed by the powerhouse Kitagawa Daiichi, led by the tyrannical "King of the Court" setter, Tobio Kageyama.
